I chose 5-stars only because a 6th was not an option.
Ward PH&A has two excellent HVAC techs in Jeff and Austin - both are young, professional and very knowledgeable. Ward also assisted with a plumbing project this past year = good results.
I highly recommend Ward to any with plumbing, HVAC and mechanical needs.
Update, 7/27/2026…I have reviewed Ward twice, both were 5-star reviews; today however, my comments will be less so. I remain a Ward customer, but am truly disappointed in what has been a Customer No Service response…to an emergency call in for assistance and resolution. The Ward website clearly provides directions for emergency assistance, which I followed early this morning. In short, we retired last night with an operational HVAC system and awoke this morning with a non-operational system. As if 8:15AM, I provided details, and was told we’ll schedule you for the next available appointment, that communication was received by mid-morning, and scheduled for 4 August 2026, 8 days from today. Subsequently, I called Ward again before midday, and spoke with a second customer service contact…requesting an update. I was told she’d discuss this with a supervisor, and then share an update…crickets!
By late afternoon, my wife followed up with Ward, again requesting an update on an “emergency” request, and was again told by the customer service rep that she’d discuss with a supervisor and respond…it’s currently 7:30PM, crickets!
I have no intention on leaving this service company, their work to date has been very positive, with scheduled maintenance…for which we pay a monthly fee, and with that I have little to challenge. But, as an existing customer, and loyal to their mission, I take exception with a total lack of emergency support. Any company can shine with the easy assignments, the true character of a great company is seen in how it assists all customer needs. As of now, my review is somewhere between 1 - 2 stars. Tomorrow, that may change.
Update, 7/29/2026…I want to share that Ward Plumbing, Heating & Air did respond to what was, in my opinion, an emergency service request. A tech was dispatched, Tuesday 7/28, to assess, and was able to resolve the problem with a non-functioning AC unit. The tech, a 5-star technician, both for technical support and customer relations, was able to assess the problem and correct with 60-minutes. ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️
My thanks to Ward for hearing my complaint, and correctly choosing to escalate and resolve the problem. When I reached out for help on Monday morning, I wasn’t seeking, nor was I asking for anything special, just reporting an unexpected system failure and requesting help to assess and successfully repair. An emergency, not a scheduled maintenance request…that distinction was ultimately established, not without complaint, but was resolved to this customer’s satisfaction.
All businesses have gaps in their operations, and most work continuously to improve…I would include Ward in that generalization, but what I found, and had to push back against was, and/or is an operations gap. I’m confident they have reviewed this service request and will ultimately make changes that will improve their service delivery model.
As I stated in my initial comments on Monday 7/27/2026, I have no intention on discontinuing my routine maintenance service, and I still recommend Ward as a HVAC service provider.
