Brad B. Waldrop
General Manager & Co-Owner
Born and raised in Jackson County, Brad is a graduate of Smoky Mountain High School and Western Carolina University, where he received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. Brad has helped start and manage several companies including an electronics distribution business he led from start-up to employing over 45 professionals and realizing over $10M in annual revenues. Brad has also started and managed a residential real estate development business, a property preservation business, and a digital communications business. The opportunity to manage Ward Plumbing, Heating & Air brought Brad home to Western NC in 2014, where he is now dedicated to helping the company set The New Standard for Service in Western NC. Brad’s responsibilities at Ward PH&A include identifying and securing strategic customer and supplier partnerships, development and implementation of the company’s growth strategy, and oversight of the company’s marketing efforts. When not hard at work, Brad can usually be found spending time with his family, playing string music, or fly fishing. Brad lives in Sylva with his wife, Kendall, & Daughter, Magnolia.
Jason D. Wingate
Co-Owner
Born and raised in Jackson County, Jason is a graduate of Smoky Mountain High School and North Carolina State University, where he received a degree in Turf Grass Management. Jason spent nearly 20 years in South Florida as Co-Owner and CEO of a large Commercial landscape business, before returning to Western NC in 2021 to join the Ward PH&A team fulltime. Jason’s responsibilities at Ward PH&A include consulting customers on proper design and equipment selection for Heating & Air Installations, as well as development and implementation of the company’s growth & operations strategies. When not at work, Jason can usually be found spending time with his family. Jason lives with his wife Nicki, daughter, Hannah, son Blake and has a daughter, Hayley, attending college in Florida.
Jerry Hill
Operations Manager
Jerry's background includes a diverse experience in residential construction, General Contracting, commercial HVAC installation and other construction trades. Jerry is a natural problem solver, the ultimate “team player”, and always looking for ways to help Ward PH&A customers and team. Jerry ensures that the quality of our field work and internal operations are consistent with the standards Ward PH&A has worked hard to establish for over 45+ years. Jerry was born and raised in Sylva and has lived here nearly all his life. Jerry's primary responsibilities are quality control, scheduling and field supervision of HVAC & Plumbing jobs. Jerry lives in Sylva with his wife Janice, son Joe Bryant, daughter Sarah Mae, and has a daughter, Anna Ruth, attending Western Carolina University.
Thomas "Tommy" Passmore
Comfort Consultant
Thomas "Tommy" Passmore has 30+ years of experience in designing a vast array of HVAC and plumbing systems in residential, industrial, and commercial buildings. With his father and later as sole proprietor, he managed an HVAC & Plumbing contracting business in Charlotte for over 30 years. Tommy holds 3 HVAC Licenses in the State of NC as well as the state plumbing license. He lives in Haywood County and spends a good portion of his free time off-roading ATVs. Tommy's primary responsibilities at Ward PH&A are consulting customers on Heating & Air system installations, and designing HVAC systems to maximize comfort, efficiency and safety.
Aaron Sperling
Service & Dispatch Manager
Aaron joined the Ward Plumbing, Heating & Air Team in 2017, bringing with him an impressive professional background in Information Technology, Project Management and Customer Service. Aaron prides himself on a cooperative approach to problem solving. As Service & Dispatch Manager, Aaron assures the timely deployment of Technicians and resources in our Service & Maintenance departments. In addition to Service & Dispatch, Aaron plays a vital role in development and implementation of the company’s automation initiatives related to software, procurement and inventory management. Aaron lives in Sylva and loves music, good food and the great outdoors! A lifelong band enthusiast, Aaron enjoys volunteering with the band programs at Western Carolina University and Tuscola High School in his spare time.
Nicholas McNevich
Plumbing Supervisor
Nick joined the Ward Plumbing, Heating & Air team in 2020, bringing over 24 years of experience in residential and commercial plumbing. Nick prides himself on providing thorough recommendations and developing long-term relationships with customers. As Plumbing Supervisor, Nick serves as a mentor and guide for other Ward PH&A Plumbing Technicians and Apprentices, helping them advance their knowledge and skills.
Nick lives in Sylva with his wife, Emily. When he's not providing Ward PH&A customers with 5-Star service and helping our other Plumbing Professionals do the same, Nick enjoys the outdoors and film photography.
Greg Galbreath
Administrative Manager
Greg has been with Ward Plumbing, Heating & Air since 2015. His prior experience was primarily in customer service and retail automation for a 200-store convenience store chain in the Midwestern US. Greg was also a semi-professional table tennis player before joining Ward Plumbing, Heating & Air.
Greg is responsible for ensuring the company’s office operations are courteous, professional and efficient. Greg guides the rest of our office staff in making sure our customers and field employees have the information and materials needed to make all jobs run as smoothly as possible. Greg is also Ward PH&A customers’ primary contact for questions related to billing and payments.
Eric Stone
Client Care Manager
Eric joined the Ward Plumbing, Heating & Air Team in 2022, bringing with him an impressive professional background in Management and Customer Service in restaurants, most recently as general Manager of Mica’s Restaurant & Pub in Sapphire, NC. Eric prides himself on using a cooperative and compassionate approach to helping Ward PH&A customers have a 5-Star experience when scheduling services. As Client Care Manager, Eric assures that Ward PH&A customers have timely, professional & pleasant experiences at booking. Eric lives in Cullowhee with his wife, with whom he shares a passion for animal rescue. 🐕
