For several consecutive years, we have committed to giving back to our community, and this year was no exception. With hearts full of dedication and hands ready to work, we eagerly participated in two impactful projects aimed at making a difference in the lives of those in need.
Our first endeavor took us to Waynesville, where we joined forces with Habitat for Humanity—a renowned organization dedicated to building decent and affordable homes for families in need. Together, we contributed to the construction of the foundation for a new home, laying the groundwork for a brighter future for a deserving family. Habitat for Humanity’s mission resonates deeply with our values, as they believe in empowering homeowners through collaboration and equity. By working side by side with volunteers and future homeowners, we not only helped construct a physical structure but also fostered a sense of community and belonging.
Our second project brought us closer to home as we collaborated with the Jackson County Department of Aging to support elderly citizens in need. In a display of solidarity and empathy, we split, stacked, and prepared firewood for future delivery to those reliant on it for heating their homes. The harsh realities of winter can be especially challenging for vulnerable populations, and ensuring access to essential resources like firewood is vital for their well-being and comfort.
